Booking Contract & Scope of Services
These Terms & Conditions constitute the legally binding contractual agreement between India Holidays (headquartered at Barakhamba Road, Connaught Place, New Delhi 110001, India, operated via indiaholidays.org) and the traveler(s) (referred to herein as the "Guest" or "Client").
A booking is formally confirmed and a binding contract comes into existence only upon India Holidays issuing an official written Booking Confirmation and Receipt following receipt of the requisite booking deposit.
Pricing, Inclusions & Quotations
All standard base package prices and custom quotes are calculated in Indian Rupees (₹ INR) unless specifically requested in writing in foreign currencies ($ USD, € EUR, £ GBP, etc.):
- Standard Inclusions: Accommodations in specified hotel categories with daily breakfast, private dedicated air-conditioned chauffeur-driven vehicle for all airport transfers and city sightseeing, inter-city interstate road taxes, toll fees, parking permits, and licensed government tourist guides where detailed.
- Standard Exclusions: International/domestic flights (unless specified), consular visa processing fees, monument entrance tickets (unless specified), travel insurance, personal expenses (laundry, alcoholic beverages, telephone charges), and discretionary gratuities.
Booking Deposits & Payment Schedule
Standard Payment Schedule:
- Initial Deposit: 25% to 30% of total itinerary cost upon confirmation to secure palace hotels, luxury train cabins, and private chauffeur allocation.
- Interim Payment: 30% of total itinerary cost 30 days prior to commencement of travel.
- Final Balance: Remaining 40% balance payable 14 days prior to arrival or upon arrival in New Delhi (as mutually agreed in your confirmation dossier).
- Peak Season Bookings: Bookings encompassing Diwali, Christmas, New Year (Dec 20 – Jan 10), or wildlife tiger safaris may require 50% to 100% non-refundable advance payment as dictated by hotel and forest department policies.
Cancellation, Amendments & Refunds
Notice of cancellation must be submitted in writing via email to info@indiaholidays.com. The following cancellation scale applies from the date written notice is received:

Note: Luxury tourist trains (Palace on Wheels, Maharajas' Express) and non-refundable flight tickets are governed by their respective official railway and airline cancellation tariffs.
Passports, Visas & Health Regulations
It is the sole responsibility of each guest to ensure their passport possesses a minimum validity of 6 months from the date of entry into India or international destinations, and contains at least two blank visa pages.
While India Holidays provides concierge guidance on India Tourist e-Visa applications and outbound visa procedures, consular approvals remain at the sole discretion of the respective sovereign government authorities.
Chauffeur & Vehicle Usage Guidelines
Our luxury transport fleet includes premium AC sedans (Toyota Etios/Dzire), executive MPVs (Toyota Innova Crysta), luxury vans (Tempo Traveller), and premium coaches:
- Chauffeur Duty Limits: For guest safety and driver alertness on Indian highways, chauffeur operational hours are limited to a maximum of 10 to 12 hours daily, generally concluding by 8:30 PM except for pre-arranged evening dining transfers or airport connections.
- Highway Regulations: Chauffeurs must adhere to official speed limits set by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).
Force Majeure & Liability Limitations
India Holidays shall not be liable for losses, cancellations, alterations, or delays arising from events of Force Majeure, including acts of God, extreme weather phenomena (monsoon floods, blizzards in high Himalayan passes), civil commotion, strikes, border closures, flight cancellations, or governmental edicts.
We strongly mandate that all international travelers obtain comprehensive travel, medical, and cancellation insurance prior to departing their home country.
Governing Law & Jurisdiction
All agreements, bookings, and disputes arising out of or in connection with services rendered by India Holidays shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India.
The courts of competent jurisdiction located in New Delhi, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction to hear and determine any litigation or dispute arising between the parties.
